Our Formosa Pearl Oolong
is a real treat for Oolong lovers seeking something truly unique. Grown in the remote, sparsely populated, mountainous Tai Tung region of Taiwan, Formosa Pearl Oolong is formed by hand into tightly wrapped "pearls", similar to Ti Kuan Yin style Oolongs after it's fermented longer than most Oolongs. The resulting tea has the distinctive floral character of greener Oolongs, but with a smooth, sweet darkness and depth we've never found in any other tea. Makes an especially delicious iced tea.
Steep one teaspoon per cup of nearly boiling (190 degree) water for 3 minutes. Good for multiple infusions.
