The Tea Table does not knowingly collect information or ship orders or products to addresses outside the United States or Canada.

We know it can be scary to buy from an online store, especially for first-time buyers. We are committed to keeping your private information safe and secure. We only collect necessary information to provide you with good service, as outlined below. The Tea Table will never disclose to anyone under any circumstances any personal information our customers provide us. The following information is routinely collected when you order online or by phone:
  • Customer name
  • Billing address
  • Shipping address
  • Telephone
  • E-mail address
  • Credit card information: account number, expiration date, V-code if applicable, billing address of the card.
This information is used to:
  • Process orders
  • Verify credit card user identity for security purposes
  • Notify customers of order status - this may involve providing Fed Ex with your e-mail address so they can alert you to your tracking number and shipment status. This information is not used by Fed Ex for any other reason and is not shared with anyone. (If you do not want your e-mail address given to Fed Ex for this purpose, put a note to that effect in the special instruction box when you check out.)
The above information is maintained on file except for credit card numbers, which are not saved and are not visible to anyone here if you order online. The Tea Table will never share nor sell this information to anyone under any circumstances.

We may also keep records of what you have ordered from us in the past. This information is only used to better direct you should you ask our assistance in choosing teas or accessories.

When you place an order, you will will have the option to create an account on a secure page with a log-in ID and password. Creating an account will allow you to bypass entering in your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address the next time you order. No credit card numbers are saved. The log-in ID and password are created by you so that you can remember them easily next time. Should you forget your password, you can have it e-mailed automatically to you. If you forget your log-in ID, we can retrieve it for you with proper identification.

You can update your personal information at any time by logging into your account and clicking on "Update Account Information". You may also call us and we can do it for you.

If you sign up for our e-mail newsletter, you only need to provide your e-mail address. We will not share this information with anyone, nor will you receive large quantities of e-mail from us. The newsletter comes out every two weeks, with an occasional additional update for special announcements. To unsubscribe, simply click the link at the bottom of the newsletter you have received. To change your newsletter e-mail address, you can update it using the link at the bottom of any newsletter we send you.

Is our store secure?
Absolutely! We offer a very safe and secure way for you to purchase our teas and accessories by use of an SSL certificate. This certificate encrypts or disguises your information while it is en route to our server. When it comes time for you to enter personal, sensitive information, you will be redirected to a secure page. After you enter and submit your information, it gets encrypted while in transit from your computer to our server. You will know you are on a secure page when you see "https" in the Location or Address field at the top of your browser. You may also be notified that "You have requested a secure document..."
