Brazilian Sweet Orange Mate Brazilian Sweet Orange Mate is a blend of green and roasted Mate blended with licorice, orange peels and blossoms, and natural flavoring. Mate contains caffeine. Use 1 tsp. per cup and steep about 10 minutes in steaming water.

I love yerba mate and I love oranges, so I was hoping to LOVE this tea! Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of the licorice undertones in this one. One of the great qualities of mate is the smoothness and how the flavors deepen the longer you brew, but all I got from extended brewing from this one was a pungentness from the licorice. With a 3 minute or less brewing this tea is still very good, but I was dissappointed overall.

One of my favorite teas. Great taste and smooth orange flavor.

While I am no mate aficionado, I thoroughly enjoy this tea. Its slightly smokey with a nice balance of citrus. As the other reviewer said, it does tend to bitter when steeped a long time. One of my staple teas. Number of ratings: 5 Log in to review this product. Code: BMSO
