About The Tea Table

Welcome to The Tea Table! We offer 200 loose leaf teas, tea accessories, Bee House teapots, Tea of the Month Clubs, free email newsletter, tea and health information, and great customer service.

I am Lori Bricker, the owner of The Tea Table. After working in the health care field as a registered dietitian for several years, I started The Tea Table in 2000 as a way of integrating my love of tea with my passion for nutrition and healthy living. The Tea Table started out as a walk-in retail shop where customers here in Fort Collins, Colorado, would come to leisurely browse our beautiful tea things and select from about 100 loose-leaf teas. The only shop of its kind in this area, we had a loyal following! During our three-years there, we also put up the first version of our web site. Slowly, the site grew and grew, and we had it re-designed for better functionality and beauty. When our lease was up for our retail space, we decided for practical reasons to simply forgo the storefront and be an online-only store with the hopes of being able to reach a much larger audience and keep our overhead low. We revamped our web site, added more teas and other products, and our site has continued to grow and flourish since then.

The Tea Table remains a small team of individuals committed to excellence in all that we do. Our goals are to:

• Provide oustanding customer service in all circumstances:


• We pride ourselves on being prompt in returning phone calls and emails.
• We process orders quickly, but accurately, and take great care in packing the boxes to ensure your items arrive in good condition.
• We will resolve any problem with your order as quickly and painlessly as possible.
• If you order something that's out of stock, we will notify you right away and handle it however you like. If we ship the remainder of your order and send the back ordered item later, we'll waive the shipping charge for the back ordered item.
• We will be happy to assist you in making decisions about what to order and answer any questions you may have to the best of our ability.
• Our web site is designed to be user-friendly and flexible, and we are always finding new ways to improve it and make it more useful for you.
• When you order, you can give us special instructions. If you want something sent at a particular time, for example, or packaged in a particular way, or whatever, we'll make every effort to do what you want.
• Our policies allow you to buy exactly what you want in the quantities you want. You can choose any size package for any loose tea, and you can even order tea samples so you can taste before you commit to large amounts, and we have no minimum order.
• We package your tea when you order it! This ensures that we won't run out of 4 oz. packages yet have 16 oz. packages sitting around getting old. It means you get the freshest possible tea all the time in the size package you want.
• If you live within the Fort Collins, CO, area, you can pick-up your order and avoid shipping charges. More Local Pick-up Info.


• Provide education regarding tea, including its preparation, storage, health benefits, definitions of related terminology, even tips on how to buy tea for other people. We have an extensive Tea 101 section on our site to help you get started exploring the world of tea!


• Responsibly promote tea as a healthful beverage. As a health professional, I believe that truthfulness is more important than sales. We will never use false statements or exaggerated claims regarding the health benefits of any of our teas. Yes, tea is good for you, but it isn't a magic bullet. The health information about tea on our site is based on current scientific research, not media stories or other company's claims. Please visit our Tea and Health page for basic tea and health info, and sign up for our free email newsletter. At least once a month in our newsletter we try to provide a summary of one of the latest research studies related to tea and health, and we also archive these in our Tea and Health Blog.
